Description
What you'll do
- •Build, maintain, and iterate on financial models that project the future state of Blackbird’s business across multiple scenarios (growth, market expansion, product launches).
- •Develop unit economics models for Blackbird’s transaction network (Flynet), restaurant memberships, and Blackbird Club loyalty program.
- •Analyze market data and industry trends in the U.S. restaurant economy to identify opportunities and inform strategic priorities.
- •Prepare investor-ready materials, board presentations, and internal memos that translate complex analysis into clear narratives.
- •Partner with the Product, Sales, and Operations teams to pressure-test assumptions and validate growth levers.
- •Support fundraising and partnership conversations with data-driven insights and scenario analysis.
Conditions
- •Depending on your work location and experience the target annual salary for this position can range from: *$80,000 - $120,000* USD. This range does not include the equity component of the overall compensation package.
- •Full time offers from Blackbird may also include stock options, benefits (including medical, dental, vision, flexible time off, 401(k)), and some not-so-standard, extra-fun perks — subject to applicable taxes and based on eligibility.
Requirements
- •2–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, corporate finance, or management consulting.
Internship experience at the right caliber also qualifies.
- •Strong proficiency in financial modeling, including DCF, LBO, scenario/sensitivity analysis, and three-statement models.
- •Exceptional Excel/Google Sheets skills.
- •Comfort with AI tools, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker).
- •Ability to work with ambiguity and build models from limited data, we are a growth-stage company, not a mature enterprise.
- •Strong written and verbal communication skills.
You will present to the CEO and the board.
- •Passion for restaurants, hospitality, and/or the future of commerce and loyalty.
- •Based in New York City.
