Description
Your mission will be
- •Payment Partnerships Strategy & Provider Management
- •Manage and strengthen relationships with banking partners, payment providers, and strategic payment vendors.
- •Support the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new payment partners aligned to business and geographic expansion strategy.
- •Conduct structured provider comparison analyses covering pricing, settlement performance, regulatory exposure, integration complexity, risk controls, and product capabilities.
- •Assist in negotiating commercial terms.
- •Build business cases and motivation documents for new payment partnerships and product opportunities.
- •Payment Integrations & Business Analysis
- •Act as Business Analyst for payment integrations — translating business requirements into scalable payment solutions and functional specifications.
- •Partner with Product and Engineering teams to support delivery of payment methods, provider integrations, and enhancements to payment infrastructure.
- •Map current and future-state payment processes, identify gaps, and recommend optimisation opportunities.
- •Produce business requirements documents, process flows, integration requirements, user stories, and solution documentation.
- •Support UAT, implementation validation, and post-launch performance monitoring of payment integrations.
- •Drive problem-solving initiatives where payments partnerships or products can address business challenges or customer pain points.
- •Provider KYB & Regulatory Remediation Management
- •Own and manage annual and ad hoc Know Your Business (KYB) reviews across payment providers and banking partners in collaboration with Payment team leaders.
- •Coordinate documentation and remediation requirements across Legal, Compliance, Finance, and external providers.
- •Monitor remediation timelines and proactively identify risks across the payments partner ecosystem.
- •Support governance and control frameworks relating to third-party provider oversight.
- •Institutional Payment Flow Solutioning
- •Partner with Institutional, Treasury, Product, and Operations teams to design and optimise scalable payment flows for high-value deposits, withdrawals, settlements, and fiat on/off ramps.
- •Analyse bottlenecks in institutional collections and disbursements and develop tailored solutions leveraging local rails, correspondent banking, and alternative providers.
- •Document payment operational controls, and risk mitigation frameworks.
- •Support solution design for global settlement needs and institutional payment requirements.
- •Cross-Border Payments Optimisation
- •Support optimisation of global collections and payout corridors across jurisdictions.
- •Analyse FX costs, settlement times, liquidity considerations, and routing dependencies.
- •Develop contingency strategies to improve resilience and reduce dependency risks.
- •Partner with Treasury on liquidity and prefunding considerations linked to payment operations.
- •Evaluate new cross-border solutions that improve efficiency, cost, and customer outcomes.
- •Cost, Revenue & Payments Performance Optimisation
- •Build financial models to assess provider economics, Total Processing Cost (TPC), and revenue impacts in collaboration with the Business Optimization Team in Payments.
- •Identify opportunities to optimize payment costs while improving customer experience and provider performance.
- •Support monthly and ad hoc payments performance reporting, trend analysis, and strategic recommendations.
- •Use data-driven analysis to support payment product decisions and partner performance management.
- •Assess interest rates and earnings on payment partner accounts; formulate strategies for additional gains in collaboration with Operations and Treasury.
- •New Provider Onboarding & Go-Live Readiness
- •Manage end-to-end onboarding and pre-onboarding processes for new providers and vendors.
- •Coordinate cross-functional sign-offs across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Engineering, and Operations.
- •Track onboarding timelines, contractual execution, compliance checks, and technical readiness.
- •Ensure go-live readiness including reconciliation controls, reporting, operational monitoring, and risk logging.
- •Support successful launch and early-life performance stabilisation of new integrations and partnerships.

Requirements
A little about you
- •Payments domain:
- •Proven experience in payments, fintech, banking, or payment partnerships roles — with strong understanding of payment rails, both local and international payment rails and bank processes (EFT, Bank transfers, Cards, E-wallets, MoMo etc.), acquiring, banking integrations, cross-border payments, and provider ecosystems.
- •Payment Integrations:
- •Basic understanding of payment APIs, settlement processes, and technical integration lifecycles.
- •Business Analysis:
- •Experience producing BRDs, process flows, user stories, and functional specs; facilitating workshops; and supporting UAT and go-live validation.
- •Provider evaluation:
- •Track record of evaluating payment providers, integration models, and commercial structures.
- •Financial modelling:
- •Strong analytical skills including cost/revenue impact assessments and TPC modelling.
- •Compliance awareness:
- •Working knowledge of payment risk, KYB/KYC, AML, and regulatory considerations across multiple jurisdictions.
- •Cross-functional delivery:
- •Demonstrated ability to work across Product, Engineering, Treasury, Risk, and Compliance teams.
- •Communication:
- •Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills; able to convey complex payment concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
