Description
What you'll do
- •Design and implement highly available, scalable AWS infrastructure in partnership with development teams.
- •Architect applications for reliability, fault tolerance, and resilience across services and regions.
- •Automate deployments, scaling, and operational tasks with scripts and tooling.
- •Implement Infrastructure as Code to provision and manage environments consistently.
- •Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting to proactively detect issues and enable rapid response.
- •Respond to incidents, coordinate remediation with engineering and operations, and minimize downtime.
- •Conduct post-incident reviews, capture root causes, and drive corrective actions.
- •Analyze performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize throughput, latency, and resource utilization.
- •Enforce security best practices and collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- •Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release processes for reliable, automated deployments and rollbacks.
- •Document architectures, configurations, and runbooks; train partner teams to support and operate the stack.
Requirements
- •Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience.
- •Demonstrate experience as an Application SRE or in a closely related role.
- •Demonstrate deep understanding of AWS services, architectures, and best practices.
- •Code fluently in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Ruby.
- •Build and operate containerized workloads with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes.
- •Leverage application performance monitoring and log analysis tools to troubleshoot and optimize.
- •Apply security practices and meet compliance requirements for cloud-hosted applications.
- •Implement Infrastructure as Code with tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- •Operate CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- •Monitor and visualize system health using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana, and manage logs with ELK or OpenSearch.
